1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to the FlashBar website, mobile application, APIs, business dashboard, administration area, support channels, and related services. It should be read together with our Terms & Conditions.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account details, including name, email address, telephone number, password credentials, and profile information.
- Business and venue details, such as business ownership information, bar name, address, opening details, photos, and offer content.
- Employee relationships, assigned bars, roles, permissions, and assignment history.
- Support messages, reports, ratings, reviews, and other content you submit.
Information collected through use
- Offer views, claims, scans, redemptions, bookmarks, and interaction history.
- Device, browser, IP address, app version, diagnostic, security, and log data.
- Approximate or precise location when you enable location features.
- Notification tokens and communication preferences.
We do not intentionally collect payment-card information unless a payment feature and an authorized payment provider are introduced and disclosed.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts, authenticate users, and reset passwords.
- Show nearby venues and relevant offers.
- Process offer claims, scans, status changes, and redemption records.
- Operate business dashboards, employee roles, and permission controls.
- Send requested service emails, account notices, and push notifications.
- Detect abuse, protect users, investigate reports, and enforce our terms.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve FlashBar.
- Meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.
Depending on your location, processing may be based on performing a contract, consent, legitimate interests, or compliance with law.
4. Location information
FlashBar may use location to show nearby bars, calculate distance, and make local offers more relevant. Your device may allow precise, approximate, foreground-only, or no location access. You can change permission in device settings, though nearby discovery may then be limited.
Businesses provide venue locations for public display. A venue address should not be a private residential address unless the business owner knowingly chooses to publish it.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain security and audit records, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary by data type. For example, employee assignment history or redemption records may be kept after current access ends where needed for accountability.
When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it.
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No internet service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Use a strong, unique password and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized activity.
8. Your rights and choices
Depending on local law, you may be able to access, correct, delete, restrict, or obtain a copy of your information, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You may also:
- Change location and notification permissions in your device settings.
- Update available account and profile fields.
- Use unsubscribe controls for optional marketing messages.
- Ask a business owner to remove an employee assignment or contact us for support.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and recordkeeping purposes.
9. Children and age restrictions
FlashBar is not directed to children. Features related to alcoholic drinks are only for people of legal drinking age in their location. If you believe a child has provided personal information improperly, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. International data use
FlashBar and its providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Where required, we use recognized contractual or legal safeguards for international transfers.
11. Policy updates
We may update this policy to reflect changes in the Service, law, or our practices. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or another reasonable method. The date above identifies the current version.
12. Contact us
